By default, Telnet Client is not installed in Windows Vista / Windows 7.
The Telnet Client is required for remote access. It can be installed through the following steps:-
1) Click Start and click Computer
2) Click Uninstall or change a program tab on the top
3) Click Turn Windows features on or off on the left and wait for few seconds.
4) Do not check or uncheck items which are not known to you. Unchecking the checked items can cause uninstallation of the service. Hence be careful during checking and unchecking in checkbox.
Enable check on "Telnet Client" and click OK. A dialog box will confirm the installation.
